This is a very simple sandwich recipe which you can try for a late/lazy breakfast or even anytime when you feel hungry! Call it a snack or a breakfast item; you can make it pretty easy at the maximum time of 15 minutes (including the time for cooking a hardboiled egg). You can even make this into a salad and have it as such at times you do not have bread at home. Read on to know the recipe.
Ingredients:-
- Hard boiled egg – Slice it into even pieces using a knife or egg slicer
- Tomato ketchup- Use your favorite variety to satisfy your taste buds
- Mayonnaise - I used homemade, fresh and creamy one!
- Cabbage/lettuce leaves – I used cabbage leaves as lettuce is not easily available in this part of the world
- Butter
- Salt and Pepper
- Bread slices
Preparation:
Step 1: Start with toasting the bread slices in a pan with a tablespoon of melted butter.
Step 2: Add a few teaspoons of tomato ketchup and spread the cabbage or lettuce leaves over it.
Step 3: Take a bowl and add sliced boiled eggs and add the mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Mix well and spoon it over the bread slices. If you want, you can add a slice of cheese too. Place a bread slice over it and serve J
Optional Picks:
Add your favorite veggies into it after chopping/grating them finely.
Top with your favorite cheese.
I just had this sandwich now, and I feel full now. You can also pack this to your office/college. I hope you will give it a try and let me know in the comments how well do you like it J
